Parasites- Just Another Lyme Disease Issue

This week’s newsletter was going to be on diet for Lymies, but just recently I rediscovered a book I own called “Eating For Endurance” by Phil Maffetone. I wanted to read it again because
the information about diet is so important and before I write a newsletter packed with ideas and tips about what a typical diet should look like, I thought I better refresh my memory.

I bought this book about four years ago because as an elite athlete I knew that getting an edge on the competition meant focusing on everything I could conrol. Diet is one thing we can ALL control, whether we are athletes or we are fighting disease…it’s all the same.

Don’t let the title of the book fool you. The principles in it can be applied to anyone who is trying to optimize their health and I feel like it’s one of the absolutely best books on diet I’ve ever read, because there is no BS. It has nothing to do with “fads.” It’s just the truth about foods and how the body processes food for energy.

So next week should be the newsletter on my eating tips. Don’t miss it.

And if you really want to dive into it (which I always suggest people do), get the book! You'll earmark so many pages of importance that you'll want go back over and over again!

Nasty Attitudes

I know I’ve already written about changing attitudes and how important it is to recovery. I want to share with you a good way NOT to get healthy.

I already know that you can feel down and out when you’re terribly ill. Emotions run wild and sometimes can’t be contained. You want to blame everyone, including the tick, your doctor(s), your insurance company and perhaps even me. Don’t be angry that I’m recovered. In fact, I’m a very valuable tool that you have the option of utilizing.

Just recently I had a woman email me. She was mad that my last newsletter said, “Go and have some fun this weekend.” Yes, that’s right. She was angry that I wrote that!

She then told me how she was spending 2k a month on Mepron. She is apparently terribly ill. I wrote her back (I always try to get back to everyone who writes me) and encouraged her to try some different avenues since she was so ill and was still spending 2k a month, for months, and still not getting better. This infuriated her even more. Plus she was seeing “the best” doctor in town, a Dr. H. (I won’t use name) in New Hyde Park.

After doing some quick research on who she was, (which I usually don’t do) I found out she was a psychologist who was unable to work and had her license to work taken away because of her
disability. I felt terrible for her, but on the other hand here I am offering her a major change in health and all she can do is try to rip me a part verbally for being encouraging. Ouch!

She told me to do some more research and that if I didn’t understand why she was spending 2k a month on Mepron that I obviously didn’t know enough about Lyme.

I didn’t write her back. I just removed her from my newsletter list.

Yes, I may not know what some experts know about the (sometimes pointless) details about Lyme. I just know how to beat it, so if that’s not enough then I’m okay with that. I really don’t need to know what people are spending for medications. I think it’s unnecessary to know. I know enough about it because of my own ordeal years ago with meds, but I can’t get sucked into that battle now. My attention goes to getting people healthy. That’s it.

And I do coach people with PhDs, but only those who can swallow their egos. To me I felt like this is one of the biggest reasons why some people don’t get healthy. It’s because some
people think they’ve done everything and they believe they know everything….so why keep trying?

I hope you don’t feel that way. It’s important to check egos at the door when getting your health back because good information can come from the strangest places. No MD knows it all. No
MD will have all of your answers. Empowering yourself and knowing what you have to do is the key.

To me a psychologist believes in medication, hence her reliance on 2k dollars worth of Mepron a month. Expanding your mind to the possibilities no matter what your background is, IS ESSENTIAL.

Just some food for thought.

Here’s what others are saying who have been coached by me:

“I have made some progress already. I have a great energy now....!” – Georgia (this was sent just days after her session)

“I want to thank you again for the coaching, it is really helping. I am starting to get my energy back, went for a great swim in the ocean yesterday and am getting ready to go for a run on the beach w my dogs. I am plugging along following your coaching. You have really helped me, thanks again. Dr S. was pre coaching. You have helped me more than anyone.” Take care..Beth - Charleston, SC

“Much warmth and GREAT thanks, you are amazing.”
– New York City, New York

"Thank you Perry! It was an honor to speak with you! I've been busy getting going with everything. " - P.D., Minnesota

*I’ve been a little busy and haven’t gotten permission to use names or to look through my feedback, so full names and locations are not given at this time.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence about speaking with me, have hit a plateau in your recovery, or are just tired of feeling bad, it might be time to have a talk with me. Please contact Arden,
arden@beatlyme.com and let’s get started! I have a few spaces available for next week. I leave for the Lyme-Autism Conference in Arizona on next Wednesday and will not return until July (as I’m also shooting the cover of my new book afterwards).

....the best thing for me is what the people I've already coached have the pleasure of experiencing in the future...a very healthy body...but since most have just gotten started, they don't fully realize this yet! :)

Update On My New Tick Bite A Few Weeks Ago

There is no update. No problems. No symptoms. Sorry if this is disappointing as I can’t offer any new information on it because it has gone away.

If you just joined the newsletter you can get the scoop about what I was doing for this new bite here.

Parasites- Let’s KILL’em!

Lyme is parasitic. Technically it’s a bacteria, but since it feeds, multiplies and tears your insides apart, it’s parasitic.

Parasites are in everyone. There is probably zero enhance that there is ONE person on this earth who doesn’t have them.

I found out I had a terrible case of parasites .

I remember a lab technician telling me I had one of the worst cases of parasites he’d
ever seen
. He said he saw one other case that was worse than mine! He told me about this girl who embalmed people in a funeral home who was worse then me. That didn’t make me feel much better. So he suggested I needed to purge myself of them and suggested several different products...

Because I do a parasite cleanse once a year, I have tried several kinds and this one is by far my favorite.

Check out my top pick for Parasite Cleansing and Removal
(this is what I use once a year).

The first time I did a parasite cleanse I thought I would have to go the ER on the third day because the die off from the parasites created this burn like rash that covered my entire body (except my face oddly enough). The rash felt like a 1st degree burn. Looking closely at it, there were tiny little white specks peeping out from my skin. (Were these dead worms?) Even stranger was the matter that I found in the toilet after trips to the bathroom.

Your case of parasite die off will probably not be nearly as bad as mine. I believe a good parasite cleanse kills Lyme bacteria as well. Reducing your load of parasites frees up your own immune system to focus on other important issues.

There are really three great ways to kill parasites naturally.

One is do a parasite cleanse (once a year is optimal but if you have a bad case which you can note by die off symptoms like a rash, you may want to do it twice a year).

Two is oxygen. Parasites hate oxygen. Oxygen kills parasites, mold, fungus and bacteria. (I've already written about using an ozone machine here.) The actual ozone machine I use is here.

Third is saturating yourself with aloe. This method is not as strong for killing parasites as doing a cleanse, BUT it keeps parasites from running rampant after you do a good cleanse
and in the meantime it’s a natural inhibitor of bacteria, mold and fungus. (Want to know more about aloe and how it can be used for inflammation, repair, detoxing, go here.)

I do all three. On a daily basis I saturate yourself with aloe to kill the “bad stuff” and repair the “good stuff.” I ozonate my water everyday and drink it and also use it in my house to
clean the air. And I always do a parasite cleanse once a year. I don’t ever have the die off that I had the first time I did the parasite cleanse...in fact, it’s nothing like the first time I did it.

A 13 year old girl contacted me about being sick with Lyme Disease and wrote me about how her parents gave up her bunnies because she had bad parasites.

A good parasite cleanse does WONDERS.

I personally live with a “farm” of stray animals and would never consider giving them up and because I know how the problem can be remedied so well, it doesn’t have to be an option. The
pleasure I get from caring for needy animals gives me too much happiness so thankfully having to give them up doesn’t have to be an option.

You can really get parasites anywhere. Anytime you eat out you subject yourself to getting parasites. If you travel, you can get them. Even if you’re cooking at home, you can get
them. If you eat sushi you can get them.

So live it up! Just remember to cleanse yourself once a year.

Expect the best,

http://www.BeatLyme.com

Lyme-Autism Conference in Scottsdale June 25-28th

Come join me at the Lyme-Autism conference. I’ll be there
Saturday night for the Celebrity Poker Show Down. (Even though I have no
idea how to play Poker, I’ll learn before I go.) If I win my winnings
are going to go to Wounded Warriors and Greenville Humane Society.

See the homepage of http://www.beatlyme.com/ and scroll down to the bottom for the information
on the conference.

I should be floating around on Friday and Saturday to catch a few speakers. The line up of speakers is great in my opinion simply because they will be discussing a lot of things I did to beat Lyme, so I’m excited that people can discover these options. Plus, I want to see if there are other advances I don’t know about …Even though for me it’s too late, it won’t be for those who still have Lyme Disease. So if you can’t make it, I’ll be your ears.

Antibiotics or Lyme Disease That's Making You Crazy?

So far so good.

If you received my last newsletter then you know that I was bitten again by a tick about a week ago, but THIS TIME I was prepared for it. ( If you didn’t read it, read it here on my Lyme Disease Blog. Just scroll down until you get to the title Bitten By A Tick Again! Read what I did to fight it quickly! )

The good news is that I still don’t have any symptoms from the tick bite and the rash from the

bite is about 80% better. This is great news knowing that it took my bull’s eye rash from a deer tick in 2003, almost 4 years to go away!

I expected the aftermath of this new infection to go exactly the way it’s going. My theory is correct. I strongly believe if you prep your body for invaders then your body can fight efficiently. After all, we have an immune system! It’s wondrous and science still doesn’t tell us exactly how it works.

So no symptoms at all from the actual infection. BUT, I’m having some negative symptoms
from the Doxy
I decided to take as a SUPER PRECAUTION. Because I could identify the tick (Dog Tick), the subsequent rash is most likely RMSF; s
ee the picture on my blog. I knew that taking a short course of Doxy is just a good way to be super prudent in this situation.

Had I not known I was bitten or developed a rash of any kind (remember, when you get a rash it means you’ve already been exposed to that bacteria/pathogen), like most people, I’m still pretty confident that because of my preparation, my lifestyle, and the health tools* I use everyday that my body would be able to fight effectively. *I'll be talking about many more things I used in the future, because I have an opinion on just about everything.

Who knows when I’ll be bitten again! Who knows how many times any of us have been bitten or how many times we will continue to be bitten and exposed to the same
diseases. I refuse to live in a bubble. I refuse not to go outside because I enjoy being outside.

Physiological Problems From Antibiotics

I know lots of people are on long term antibiotics to try to reduce their load of bacteria from
tick born illnesses. Unfortunately, when you pick up your prescription there is no warning that says MAY CAUSE YOU TO ACT UNLIKE YOURSELF. I’m sure Big Pharma would say that these antibiotics do have some side effects but they would never cause mental problems.

What I noticed this time around, is that as soon as I started taking the Doxy I had severe depression. It was like my mood had changed from PERKY to MELANCHOLY within hours. My guess for why this happened is because I had some testing done to prove that I can’t detox antibiotics well. Which means a little goes a long way and taking medications or exposing myself to certain pollutants will cause other negative symptoms to occur, including MENTAL issues.

In fact, I believe most people have some type of defunct enzymes in their detox pathways which
won’t allow processing of certain chemicals. This is how evolution continues. Genes change over time. It’s the same reason why so many white people (mostly Anglo-Saxons) have problems with gluten or have allergies to wheat (because we've been eating it for thousands of years).

Now Bartonella, one of the stars of Lyme Disease is bacteria that can cause rage in people and it is bad enough to have. I believe most people with Lyme Disease have Bartonella. A sick tick…is carrying a plethora of bacteria. But getting on medications to treat Lyme Disease can cause a DOUBLE WHAMMY OF EMOTIONAL TURMOIL.

Think about the chimp who “ripped off the face of his caretaker” and did you read the part where the chimp was being treated for Lyme Disease. Not only did he have Lyme, but he was also on medication. I believe that chimp was having a serious out of body experience due to bacteria and drugs. Obviously living with an adult chimp is a choice most of us would not make, but I’m sure this probably would not have happened if the circumstances were different.

And how about that kid inTennessee who went into his church and shot his preacher earlier this year? The mom was reported saying that her son wasn’t behaving like himself and he was being treated for Lyme Disease.

As some of you know I’m writing a tell-all book about my Movie-Like-Audacious life of track and
field and full recovery from Lyme Disease. And I will tell you there is a part in the book about how insane I was becoming while being on high doses of antibiotics. (I was plotting to kill my neighbors at one point and that is very creepy, because it is 100% true.)

Live near Greenville, South Carolina? Come See Me Speak

I’m speaking to The Greenville Lyme Group on Saturday, June 13th at 1:00. Please email Kathleen (kathleenliporace@yahoo.com) about attending. Come and bring your friends. I’ll make it fun, entertaining
and I’ll answer questions.

Commenting On Blog

The blog is a good way to post questions and make comments if you want to show off your knowledge of Lyme Disease. I will place each week’s newsletter there so that you can find that newsletter and post under it your comment.

If you’re an angry, bitter Lymie, please don’t post or I will remove you. There are plenty of forums for venting. My blog and website are for people who are ready to get better and move on with their lives. It’s not for anyone who has been waiting to die or wanting to die. You'd be surprised at how many people do give up!

You have 2 days- Less Than 48 hrs.

That’s all the time you have to get what I consider an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE for Lymies. It’s the patented, revolutionary smell sensitive vitamins and taste sensitive electrolytes and minerals. Not all products are created equal and if you have been sitting on the fence thinking about trying it, now is the time while Elise (the sister to John Kitkoski who created these products) is giving 20% off to you Lymies. This is something your entire family can benefit from because it is an unique way of getting the essential vitamins, minerals and electrolytes your body needs to function properly...No matter what your diet is or the stress you put on your body…the product conforms to each person’s body chemistry through the olfactory system (smell and taste.)

Getting the essentials balanced is a MUST for people who want to live optimally and it’s a MUST for people who are sick (from Cancer to Lyme to even Autism). It’s so important I make all my friends and family take it. And I can’t seem to shut up about it because I know it will make a difference in your life. New Lyme Disease Test

This is very interesting article I found, Enjoy.

http://jacksonville.com/lifestyles/health_and_fitness/2009-05-19/story/unf_professor_works_to_unlock_lyme_diseases_mysteries

50% of Lizards in South Carolina have Lyme Disease? Do this mean 50% of the population in the US has Lyme Disease or could have Lyme Disease? I think so.

How Long Does A Tick Have To Be Attached To Get Lyme Disease?

I had a newsletter subscriber from the Beat Lyme newsletter show me this:

"From New York State Department of Health website:
The disease can be spread when an infected tick bites a person and stays attached for a period of time. In most cases, the tick must be attached for 36 hours or more before the bacteria can be transmitted."

My thoughts are that as long as the tick is able to BITE you, which means there is some sharing of fluids, than transmission of a disease the tick is carrying is quite possible. I have no idea where 36 hours is the "magic" time that the bacteria is transmitted. I would like to see the research behind it. Maybe they wrote this because they don't want people running around in terror because they pulled a tick off.

Feel free to comment on this post below.

Bitten again...But This TIME I'm Prepared For Victory!

It happened again…bitten by a tick...again!

This past weekend while lounging on a friend’s couch, I was bitten by what appeared to be a Dog Tick. I had spent a lovely weekend, biking, running and swimming at Hilton Head Island. Back from our trip, I was reclining on the sofa and I noticed a tick crawling away from me up the back of the couch. I was horrified and ran to the bathroom to check my body for ticks and there was a round red rash and a bite mark.

It appeared to be a bull’s eye.

Usually Dog Ticks don’t carry Lyme Disease. They carry Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever or Colorado Tick Fever, but the

rash looked like Lyme Disease initially.

(same tick bite, two different looks)After seeing the bite, I had to leave my trip early

and drove four hours back home because I knew I had to start working on it right away. After all, I spent four years fighting Lyme Disease because I didn’t do ANYTHING after I knew I had been bitten.

Unfortunately, my friend didn’t have what I needed topically or internally so I raced back home, driving through a huge thunderstorm that resulted in several accidents (not mine) along the highway and not arriving until 12:30 a.m.

Once you’ve been bitten, it’s safe to assume that you were bitten previously, perhaps unknowingly, and will probably be bitten again during your lifetime. I thought maybe I would just never go outside during the summer and only take vacations in the winter, but
that is just ridiculous. I will not let a tick spoil my fun and keep me from living life to the fullest.

**The picture below is of me hiking in the same place I was first bitten by a Lyme carrying Deer Tick just a few years later after my recovery started. It's the Appalachian Mountains!

I know that maintaining my own health is my best defense. What makes this time around different is the speed in which I took action. Thankfully I knew I had been bitten, but I’m also not stressed out, deficient in nutrients, and don’t have other health issues like the time when my Lyme came back with a vengeance two years after I was bitten.

I can now say that my body is as perfectly balanced in nutrients as it can be. This is quite a relief because deficiencies are like cracks in asphalt. Over time they make for a dangerous road. I’m on a smell sensitive vitamins and taste sensitive mineral and an electrolyte kit.
This covers my base and provides me with the correct essentials for my unique body chemistry.

Arriving home, I took MMS. I do believe it has

great pathogen fighting qualities, but I also think people should take it with caution depending on the severity of the illness. A little goes a long way, so follow the instructions as closely as you can.

You can learn more about MMS here and the type I am taking currently for this new bite.

MMS Information

(I will write a newsletter about MMS in the near future.)

I also grabbed my aloe concentrate and put the concentrate on the bite. I took some of it orally as well. I know this not only supports my immune system, but it also has natural
anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and anti-mold properties. Plus it squelches any type of inflammation (so I’m stopping the problem before it begins.)

Next, I took my taste-sensitive electrolytes. They were super salty so apparently all of that running around in Hilton Head caused an electrolyte imbalance (which is common and predictable.) I also used the electrolytes topically on the bite and I bathed in them.

Yes, the electrolytes are not only good for repairing an electrolyte imbalance, but are a great “heal all” for your skin infections.

I bathed in ozonated water the next day. I’ve already mentioned the ozone machine, but ozonating your drinking water and bathing in it is quite beneficial, not to mention you can also clean the air in your house with it. My ozone machine has a simple little connector hose where I can switch quickly from ozonating the air to ozonating water. I placed the hose into the bath to ozonate the water.

Oxygen kills every pathogen known to man, that’s why in small quantities it’s a FANTASTIC personal healing tool.

Lastly, I’m taking a short course of Doxycycline.

Why? Because I know that taking an antibiotic quickly after KNOWING you have a tick bite can drastically reduce your chances of becoming chronically ill. I’d rather be safe than sorry. Even though I’m really quite comfortable with the tools I just mentioned, I want to be extra
safe. Doxycycline is used to combat the diseases associated with Dog Ticks when taken quickly after being bitten.

I’m not against taking medications as a last resort or for emergency situations. It’s when medications are taken long term is where I disagree with conventional medicine.

Unfortunately most people are just too weak and sick from late diagnosed tick infections for medications to work successfully. I understand the concept of getting worse before getting better because I went through that, but too many people NEVER get better and stay on medications that keep their own bodies from functioning the way God intended.

This is when it becomes a downward spiral and there are just too many people with tick born illnesses whose weaken bodies are spiraling out of control.

After getting to the end of my own personal rope several years ago I went the opposite direction that most go for Lyme treatment, in an attempt to save myself, and I wouldn’t be where I am
today had I stuck to conventional ideas. I feel so pleased to have trusted myself so much because saying “Good-bye” to one of the top Lyme doctors in the country was psychologically difficult. Being a maverick does occasionally have its upside!

Final Thoughts

Strangely enough, I know I should be feeling ill already from this tick bite. Back in 2003 I had what I thought was PMS and flu like symptoms. I’m paying close attention to what actually
happens with my body. Will I get any symptoms at all? Will my bite heal quickly? (It took almost 4 years to get rid of my last bull’s eye.)

The only symptoms I have are from taking MMS and the antibiotic as I’m VERY sensitive to medications, smells and even sounds! I thought about going for a long run today, but I think it’s best to play it safe for now.

I realize that this probably won’t be my last bite as ticks are practically everywhere, but I think it’s prudent to have the tools that I’ve mentioned to shield yourself from future trouble
because I believe that even if you’re currently sick, you WILL be able to get your health back. You just have to continue to persevere.

Tick born illness is just another pathogen that we are exposed to on a daily basis, so to beat Lyme, you have to prepare your body for anything and everything.

I’ll keep you posted on this “new tick bite development,” but I’m sure I’ll have promising results.

Montacuk Monster

This was reported a few weeks ago. My friend, Les Roberts, the author of “The Poison Plum,” is mentioned in the article. I have no idea what the Montauck Monster is, but to me is seems like an experiment gone terribly wrong. (Hey, that kind of reminds me of Lyme Disease, which is said to have the same birthplace as the Montauck Monster.)
